OBJECTIVE
To support the academic growth for LEP students in MISD through curriculum, instruction, assessment, data analysis and professional development. Facilitate the development of a culture of data use in schools by supporting teachers in the effective use of data to drive instructional design.
EXPERIENCE
Bilingual Instructional Specialist 8/2012 - Present
· Coach teachers on best practices for delivery of instructional content
· Assist teachers in “unpacking” the curriculum to facilitate lesson design
· Visit teacher classrooms to model, co-teach or observe; conduct both pre- and post-visit conferences to facilitate reflection, design intervention/enrichment plans
according to need and then follow up on implementation and progress of such plans
· Assist with the coordination and planning of campus level professional development
· Work with teachers to facilitate conversations around data-driven instructional decisions
· Collaborate with teachers and administrators to disaggregate and analyze formative and summative student achievement data including, but not limited to: STAAR,
TELPAS, MAP, DRA, WTW, iStation, MobyMax and District Assessments
· Build teacher capacity by assisting teachers in the use of assessment data to drive instructional design
· Support teachers and help build teacher capacity by working with student intervention groups
· Schedule and manage campus in-school tutors and LearnToBe.org volunteers
· Continually update my own professional growth and development as demonstrated by the 174+ CPE credits earned during the current school year
· Webmaster of resource website made available to campus teachers (eduDataCoach.com)
· Design and develop progress-monitoring tools according to teacher feedback and observed needs, which are then made available to teachers via weebly
· Support campus as administrator for MobyMax.com and ThinkThroughMath; support teachers in use of AIL, Aware, and Forethought: as well as iStation,
ThinkThroughMath, MobyMax, PearsonSuccessNet, ConnectEd and SumDog educational programs
· Serve as member of District’s Quality Improvement Committee (DQIC) for 4 consecutive years
· Member of ELL District Team

2nd Grade Bilingual Teacher 8/2011 – 7/2012
· Utilized the 50/50 model as self-contained bilingual classroom teacher
· Served as campus DQIC representative
· Trained staff as iTeam trainer during implementation of Apple products and devices
· Served as grade-level yearbook representative
· Wrote district’s bilingual “Word Work” for 1st and 2nd grades
· Created and maintained internal campus technology website (iMalvern.weebly.com) as well as classroom website for student use (HerreraSegundo.weebly.com)
· Proposed and was awarded three grants via DonorsChoose.org
· Recruited certified classroom volunteers from UTD chapter of LearnToBe.org
